After a courageous fight with cancer, James McCaffrey, the voice of Zachariah Trench in Control, Alex Casey in Alan Wake 2, and Max Payne, regrettably passed away at the age of 65.
After TMZ obtained a statement from the actor’s representative confirming the diagnosis of multiple myeloma, a form of bone marrow cancer, they broke the tragic news first. It is reported that McCaffrey died on Sunday while surrounded by loved ones.
“One of Dick Wolf’s proteges, McCaffrey went on to a successful 35-year career in television and film,” McCaffrey’s representative told TMZ. Trained at the Actor’s Studio, he never lost his love for creating characters; however, his good looks often pushed him toward leading man roles.”
